Color of Clouds
Color of Clouds, Dan Chen, Kelli Scarr & Nate GreenbergIndie-folk outfit Color of Clouds hails from Brooklyn and Queens, New York. The group is essentially a songwriting duo, made up of singer Kelli Scarr, who appears on the Roots single 'Birthday Girl', as well as on several tracks on Moby's latest record; and producer Dan Chen, who co-writes with Nicole Atkins, Natalie Walker, and Ivana XL, to name a few. Kelli and Dan have known each other for years, having been part of the electro-rock band Moonraker (2000-04). They recruited another Moonraker alum, Nate Greenberg, to co-produce, and released 'The Look EP' in 2009. The EP was very well-received, described as a mixture of indie folk/pop: sweetly textured pop songs with orchestral leanings, tinged with electronics. Color of Clouds released their follow-up, Satellite of Love, in the spring of 2010 through Stuhr Records, and already several songs from the album have appeared on TV shows (Ugly Betty, One Tree Hill, Damages). Both the 'Look EP' and 'Satellite of Love' are available on iTunes as well as in select local music stores.

Kill the Moonlight
kill_the_moonlightKill the Moonlight is a Brooklyn-based indie electro-rock outfit led by Janice Cruz, former singer for the band Dark Room. She enlisted the help of Dan Chen (Stuhr) to produce and co-write, and with Dub Trio (Roir) and Shannon Ferguson (of Longwave) on board as her band, the resulting EP is nothing short of spectacular. JC's dark and edgy lyrics cut through the angular guitars, driving beats, and electronic sheen to create a infectious, innovative sound. Mixed by veteran Joel Hamilton of Studio G, Kill the Moonlight's debut EP is being released this summer.
