The new Color of Clouds EP is turning out to be pretty epic sounding. Dan has a Jaguar Vox (vintage 60s organ) on long-term loan, and it's making its way onto all of the tracks, sometimes distorted, sometimes mic'd in a hallway, but always adding its mighty gravitas. The EP is almost ready for mixing, so it should be out by late spring.
Stuhr is back in the studio with Sunsun (Melisa Morgan), writing and recording new material for their side project, 'Sunsun & the Beat', as well as producing some dance tracks for her solo record. They also finished the stellar new Natalie Walker album, entitled 'Spark', which will be released on Dorado Records this spring!
Ivana XL has been in the studio as well - her and Dan have been busy creating new sounds out of random household objects over at Serious Business Studios.

We've had a lot of requests for Color of Clouds' song 'Burn It Down' over the last few months - so we decided to put out a short little EP for the fans. This song was featured in an episode of One Tree Hill a while back, and got a huge response from fans of the show! We also included a remix of Burn it Down, and two acoustic tracks - Left You, and Satellite of Love - on the EP. iTunes link: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/burn-it-down-ep/id398877510 Color of Clouds has been in and out of studio, basically whenever Kelli's home from tour. We expect to be hearing a new batch of songs early next year.
Dan and Nate are still working on Natalie Walker's new album - upgraded to a full-length from an EP! Final mix sessions begin in mid-November; look for it to be released in early 2011 on Dorado Records. |
